One..two…three…four…down
up… down up…
One..two…three…four…down
up… down up….
I always
remember that. Hahaha. That was what I said when I started to lift my friend
upward.
This was my
first experience becoming cheerleader team, a memorable and precious
experience. Hihihi. It happened when English Department Olympiad was held in
last March, an event which was usually made every year in my faculty. So, it
looked like a sport competition among angkatan that was fighting over to be
first or the winner. There were so many games that each angkatan should follow, such as
basket, foot ball, volley, mini games, and also showing the enthusiasm of
angkatan by performing anything to the jury, it could be yel – yel, dance, etc.
In here, my angkatan chose cheerleading as the show.
Moreover,
actually I did not want to participate in cheerleader team. Why? Because I could
not dance. Hahaha. You could imagine how it looked like if I
dance. Maybe it could be terrible. In
other that, cheerleading were not only about dance, but also gymnastic. We had to
have power and the body's elasticity. And now, see…. I was not that kind of
person. Bur, finally I could be persuaded by my friend Dea. You won Dea! (-̩̩̩-͡ ̗--̩̩̩͡ ) .The
others reason was because my close friends, Damay and Meyra, also followed it. Hahaha. Really not a
professional person ^^. And the cheerleader members were, starting from the
left to the right: Deo, Me, Diane, Damay, Dian Puspita, Grace, then go down.... Ucup, Meyra, Dian Droba, Nina, and Chrisda. We were 12 people. J
Furthermore, we were
given a month as the preparation before the competition. Actually it was a long
time IF we did the practice routinely. But, we found the difficulty in getting
the same time to do the practices. Sometimes there were just four people, six
people, five people, and it was never completed. So sad (* ̄m ̄). Because of that, I felt that
the time was so quickly chasing after us >.<
In cheers, there
were four positions. First was a flyer, a people who would ascend and be on the
top. Then, the people who stood in the left and the right flyer were the people
that would lift the flyer up. Also, the last was the people who stood in the
back of the flyer and guarded her. That’s all the cheers’ positions. And
unfortunately I became the people who had to raise the flyer from the left.
Whoooooow….how poor I am L
. With my thin body, I meant my smooth and small hands….hahaha, I had to lift
my friend (Meyra as the flyer) up. Honestly it felt so so so and so heavy.
Additionally, although Meyra was not tall, but her body was “bantat”, so it was
difficult to raise her upward. I’m so sorry Meyra :p
In order make me and Nina that
stood in front of me (right hand) had the same quantification about when we
would lift Meyra upward , we had to
count it by said “ One..two…three…four…down up… down up… One..two…three…four…down
up… down up… “. Hahaha. That’s really helpful.
For some meeting, I and Nina
could not lifted Meyra. It was miserable, remembering EDO was closer and closer.
But, we keet learning and learning. My other friends, Diane, Damay, Grace, Dian
P, Dian D, Ucup, Ainul, Deo, and Chrisda also were never give up to learn. Dea as
the coordinator and the expert of cheerleader usually gave advises to us. Sometimes
we learnt it in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, and sometimes in the
night. Firstly we just could raise the flyer upward as high as the flyer’s feet with our stomach, then as high as with our chest. Finally! After about three weeks meeting, we could make a pyramid :D yeyeyeyeye!!! And then, didn’t you know??? Because of this exercises, I had muscles in
my arms!!! Arrrgh….. >.< ….. It was more than what I got in my “fitnes”
place. I have never got this \(≧o≦)/ …..
But, fortunately, the muscles were gone some weeks after EDO.
Our Practices
Some days before
EDO’s day, we have just learnt the dance. Eits,,,,what’s I explained before, it
was only about how to make the pyramid and we had not learnt dance yet at all. Hahaha..so
crazy…it’s so crazy…it’s it’s it’s so crazy…
#singing#. It made us going crazy, we were really confused about that. Everyday
I and my friends did the practices again. As the captain of cheerleader team,
Grace taught us the dance movals. Dea could not teach us again because she was
busy in handling her job in EDO. We
learnt and learnt as we possibly could. Furthermore, the day before tomorrow, I
meant the time EDO would be held, our friends
Meyra and Ainul got injuries on their feet. It made them can not move freely. Also,
the cheerleader’s uniforms had not become yet. Sometimes we also forgot our
dance formation. The condition was more serious at that time.( ̄□ ̄;). I could not think about what would happend tomorrow. But, we kept
believing that tomorrow we would give our best performance. After the last
exercise, we came into our own boarding houses or home, and handed it all to God.
In the morning, an
hour before the performance, we practiced all what we were going to show. But,
it still looked like what we practice last time, like a scramble egg :p . Whow…. It was the time. Whatever it was,
the show must be go on … Then…we Perform!!
Thet thet thet
thet thet…..
"We are Niners, Born to be the Winner"
We are Niners, Born to be the Winner"
And…..
PERFEEEEEECT! :D
All of us were
very happy. We did it well. It did not look like a scramble egg again, but cow
eyes egg (Telor mata sapi) whaterverlah what’s the name. Hahaha…. Unbelivable. We
could not believe we could do that so well. If I thought about our practice from
the first till the end, we had never could to dance from the starting song till
the end of the song perfectly. We had to stop it in the middle because we
forgot it. Also, we have to stop it in the middle because we had to start it
from the starting again. Also, because of the fast beat of the song, our dance were usually left behind by the song. Then, at this time we did it so well. I believed that's all happened because of You…God J
. We did the best and You did the rest.
This is me :P Hahaha
Actually, this was so amazing & I wanted it more :P hahaha
