Friendship Never Ends

It was the day that I waited for when I was in Senior High School . I passed the grade and continued to study at the higher level after I spent my time to study hard and got knowledge with my friends for three years in this school. Now, farewell party what I waited was coming. This farewell party was held by my school as a symbol of victory for our hard work and the last meeting with my friends and teachers, like the other school usually did every year. However it was different with farewell party before because it used colorful costume theme. It meant I must use a costume that had many colors like a rainbow : red, yellow, green, blue, orange, pink . Then I prepared myself before I went to the farewell at my friend’s house.
I entered the gate of my school that was crowded by people. I saw my friends that talked about their appearance to one another and some of them were waiting for their best friends. Next to me, there were some students who took photos. The colorful costumes that was used by them make my feeling more happy and exciting to follow the party. One of my friends, Desta, wore kimono and her apperance was really like a Japanese. “ Haik ! Haik! Haik ! Watasiwa ,“ she said to me , opened her hand fan and hump her body five times like a crazy people. I just smiled and laughed looking at her joke , then I went to my friends who got on together beside me. Five of my boy friends used the same neat yellow clothes and also the same hats and ties. They formed a line in front of me. One of them held a cane that meant he was the leader. I think they looked like kindergarten children who had dream to be soldiers , but they were a little strange with their yellow clothes that were unusually to be soldiers.
“Your costume are really awesome!” I said and gave two of my thumbs.
“Of course ! We are cute in this costume, aren’t?” said the leader with made a pose , smiled to me with one his fingers in his cheek. Then, the other followed his pose.
“Oh my God !” I said in my heart. I feel really surprised with their pose and I just wanted to smiled, but I can’t. I laughed and laughed because of their craziness. I left them and signed in before entered the building.
Every students wore the colorful costume that was very unique and tried to express themselves. I and my best friends also wore the same dress with the same accesories, so we looked like twin. We used pink skirt, yellow t-shirt, red shawl, long soc, green shoes and it had harajuku style. The farewell costume was freestyle, so it was up to you to express ourselves, but we had to use colorful color. When I looked all of my friends, they looked really fantastic and fun. I felt coming back to my childhood when attended a birthday party of my friend and everything looked like colorful because of the children that used many colorful and interesting clothes.

When I entered the building, the first that I looked was a long red carpet in front of me. I walked at the red carpet which was prepared just for the students who graduated. It made me looked like an artist who was seen by many people on that time. I saw around the building and felt that I entered at a castle in a fairy tale, full with nice decorations , like balloons and some accessories . The chairs were arranged to fill the building and I went to one chair in front of the stage, especially for the graduate students. There were many students who had not come and the show had not been started yet, so I went to change the coupon with the snack. There were cakes, candies, and a soda in a box. While my friend and I wanted to come back to our chairs, a boy with a camera come to us to take our photo. I let him to take our photo and then we made a stupid pose with a surprised expression. “Ckliiiik !” the first photo and then we posed again with sexy expression. “Ckliiik!” the second photo. “OK! I think that’s enough, thank you”, said the boy. Then I back to my chair again.

At 7.30 pm the building was crowded by the students and teachers , so the party would be started. It was very noisy like at the market and made me couldn’t hear what my friend said when we talked. The first performer was a band from the students of grade two that brought a rock song and made us more exciting to follow the next performer. Then there was a speech from the leader of the party and when she gave her speech, a fake big candy, lolipop,the colorful symbol of this party was gone down from above. It was hung and came from above to the stage near the speaker. It meant that the farewell party was started. It made me and all of my friends screamed and gave applauses. “Horee !! ” I said in my heart. This farewell party was very fun and I enjoyed it. There were some interesting performers like mini drama, dances, band performer from the teacher, slide photos show, and the best categories costume, couple that were given a goblet with a lollipop symbol. The last was a speech from my headmaster. When I heard what he said, I remembered the first time while I entered this school and he gave a welcoming speech in this building three years ago. He asked the students to study here seriously and he also gave good advice to us to be a successfull student, but now he gave a farewell speech that mean we were success and it was a result of our hard work . I didn’t know how I should feel, happy because of my graduation or sad because I must leave here and maybe it was the last meeting with the other.

The party was ended with a smile happily and sadly. There were some students who cried and hug her friends, but there are some students who look happy, smiled and took photos together. I didn’t know what I felt. My feeling was muddled then. I took some photos with my classmates and some of them asked me to give sign in their costumes. Then the leader of my class called us to come together.

“Friends, we study here for three years. We go through the day in happiness and sadness together. I think it’s very hard to us to be separated, but we must get our dreams. Even we will not together again, but it doesn’t mean that our friendship just stopped until here. Save our togetherness in our heart. It’s the most beautiful memories that we have. I just want to say that we have to keep contact although we are in different place. All of you in my heart. Though we are not together again, but our friendship never ends . OK, friends? ” she said with tears fallen from her eyes.

I smiled to her and then hug her. It was really hard to say good bye with our best friends. The time that I spent here walked so fast. It felt like I had just entered this school, but now I must leave it. I enjoyed my time here together with my friends, although sometimes I felt bored and confused because of all the lessons. Friendship never ends. I thought it was the best lesson that I got during three years studied here. Deepest of my heart, I just wanted to say thank for being my friends and hope that we always be friend. You are very priceless.
